The Director of Intensive Care Units reports to the Chief Nurse Executive and is accountable for all activities related to the 24-hour clinical and administrative management in the department. The Director of Intensive Care Units will be responsible for effective operational management of the department, including monitoring clinical effectiveness based on knowledge of best practice and adhering to standards set by regulatory agencies. This position will provide strategic and operational leadership for Medical Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities also include physician and patient satisfaction, performance improvement, strategic planning, and developing policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field; min 5 yrs clinical critical care exp.; min 2 yrs mgmt exp; must have current CA RN license, BLS cert. is req.; ACLS is pref.
