Position Summary

The Director of Maternal Services will be responsible for managing daily operations of a five-suite LDR with one OR, an 18-bed post partum and gynecological surgery unit, the preadmission and patient education areas, and a level II nursery.  The position reports to the vice president of patient care services and oversees 55 FTEs. 

 

Qualified candidates will be seasoned registered nurses with service line leadership experience, preferably with three to five years at the director-level, in maternal/child and LDRP care.  Individuals ready for the next step in their career are encouraged to apply.  The ideal individual will be a self-directed leader with a “big-picture” perspective who seeks input from staff and communicates effectively at all levels, as well as establishing collaborative relationships in cross-functional teams and committees to achieve organizational objectives.  Familiarity with industry trends and best practices and variable staffing based on productivity standards will help ensure the success of the individual.  A bachelor’s degree (BSN or related field) and current RN licensure are required; Master’s degree is preferred.
