Chartway Federal Credit Union, with more than $1.2 billion in assets and among the top 100 largest credit union in the country, is searching for a Director of Information Systems.  This position reports to the Vice President of Technology for the management of both the daily operations and ongoing systems development within the Information Systems division.  Tasked with the coordination of all technology initiatives and with ensuring that all initiatives work together so that redundant work efforts are minimized.  Responsible to ensure that all technology development efforts remain on schedule, within budget, and that they are ultimately able to satisfy the targeted business requirements. 

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree (in Computer Science or similar) or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of experience.  Responsible for the management of all ongoing computer operations, including Summit Spectrum, Call24, Home Banking, and other established computer systems.  Tasked with minimizing critical syatem down time and assuring that system performance meets or exceeds the Credit Union's standards.  Responsible to oversee the tactical progress with system development initiatives including the management of Information System (IS) personnel, tracking of all projects and schedules, and coordination of all IS resources necessary for the development or modification of information technology solutions.  Responsible for the management, monitoring, and reliability of the organizations computer networks and personal computers.  Participates in all phases of planning and recommendations for future information systems direction.
