Ephraim McDowell Health has an immediate need for a Director of Finance.  Ephraim McDowell Health serves more than 146,000 residents from six counties in central Kentucky.  At the core of the system is Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, a 187-bed, not for profit hospital that was established more than 110 years ago.  The hospital is located 35 miles south of Lexington.

The Director of Finance will be responsible for the month end closing process and the preparation of the month end financial statements.  Additionally, this position includes oversight of other finance and accounting functions such as audits, cost reports, payroll, accounts payable, decision support, budgets, and cost and general accounting.  This position will have day to day interaction with officers, directors, and outside stakeholders.  The person in this position should have a working knowledge of reimbursement principles and Medicare and Medicaid settlement accounts.

A BS/BBA in Accounting is required.  MBA preferred.  A minimum of 10 years experience in financial and/or public accounting preferably in the healthcare industry.  Strong computer, organizational, oral and written communication, and analytical skills required.
