OdysseyNH, a dynamic non-profit organization located primarily on the seacoast, is seeking an energetic leader to fill the role of Education Director for it?s 60 student certified special needs school. The ideal candidate will serve as manager to teachers and other professionals at our new, first of it?s kind recovery high school, while addressing the special education process. We offer a diploma granting program for not only our residential clients, for whom this is often one of their first opportunities to be successful in school, but also our out-patient clients; who are often high school students with substance abuse, trauma, learning disabilities and mental health issues. Many of these students wish to remain successful in their recovery, but find their home school to offer too many pressures that lead them astray. Come and join us make a huge difference in their lives, in what can be challenging, yet extremely gratifying work.

All candidates must possess a master?s degree in an appropriate educational discipline, and be certified in New Hampshire as a special education administrator. Strong program and curriculum development, grant writing, communication, and leadership skills are a must. Knowledge of state and federal standards, residential treatment, treatment planning and behavior management is an important component of the position.
