DEL Technical Services is currently conducting a search for our client company for a Director of Architecture.  Our client is a national Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Construction Management Firm.  This is a Direct Hire position  located in Baltimore, MD.

The key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following areas:

·        Assigning, monitoring and training of technical staff

·        Preparing and/or reviewing proposals

·        Monitoring and providing technical checking, feedback and quality control

·        Working with the Chief Architect or other architectural studio directors on sharing work with other studios within the other offices of the company

·        Developing technical execution plans in the assigned studio and executing the project in accordance with the plan

·        Working with the Directors of Design in establishing the architectural design concepts for projects

Minimum Requirements:

·        Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture

·        Maryland state license as a Registered Architect 

·        Minimum of 10 years of full time architectural design experience on major building projects, including all design phases of construction and renovation of facilities. 

·        Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in an administrative or management capacity within an architectural design organization is required.
