California School of Culinary Arts is a dynamic, fast paced, creative environment and one of the 13 Le Cordon Bleu schools in the United States. We are a division of Career Education Corporation, one of the largest for profit education corporations in America.

We have an extraordinary opportunity for a Director of Admissions at our Pasadena campus. The right fit candidate for this position will be responsible for ensuring Admissions process, from lead generation to end of first month of class, functions adequately in terms of number of students, quality of students, level of student expectations/satisfaction, and in accordance with all school and company policies and procedures. Additionally, insure all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements are maintained. Function in a leadership/supervisory role for the Admissions Department. Manage or assist in managing all aspects of the admissions function as well as, if applicable, assisting in establishing revenue budgets with the Vice President of Admissions and Marketing.

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Knowledge

BS/BA preferred with a minimum of 3 years experience in Admissions/Sales and management environment.
a proven track record in driving sales team
Strong knowledge of Excel and Word applications
Knowledgeable of all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements relating to admissions

Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Prior supervisory experience required
Extraordinary telephone, interpersonal, communication skills – oral and written, interviewing and follow-up skills required
Ability to work under pressure and ability to interact with students, parents, teachers and guidance counselors required
Goal driven, results oriented ability required
Must be available to work shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
Short and long term planning skills
