The Director of Accounting and IT, under broad guidance from the CEO, performs a wide variety of strategic and tactical activities involved with leading the Accounting/Eligibility and Information Technology departments. Including the following:

Tasks and Responsibilities

Accounting department:

- Oversight of the accounting department functions

- Prepare and monitor company budget

- Prepare and review monthly reports

- Prepare and submit state and Federal tax and compliance documents

- Serve as a back up to other essential accounting functions

Information Technology department:

- Update and implement company IT strategy

- Establish priorities and implement strategies

- Define and refine appropriate solutions for external and internal clients

- Manage IT department

Educationand Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or Accounting

Advanced Degree in IT or Accounting and/or CPA certification is a plus

Minimum 5 years experience (or equivalent) with at least two years supervisory experience

Must possess strong communication (both oral and written) skills

Possess advanced computer skills (People management systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.), Microsoft

Familiarity and experience with MS-SQL and VB.net

Familiarity with the Health Care industry, benefits administration and knowledge of COBRA is a plus.
