Description: The Director, Human Resources partners with assigned business units and HR specialists to develop value-add people solutions. This role supports the Senior Management team and reinforces Paramount's vision and core values. As a member of the HR team serves as a human resources generalist providing consult to managers and employees in the following areas:

*Talent Acquisition
*Employee Relations
*Compensation
*Training & Development

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Talent Acquisition
*Manages the full life cycle of recruitment for assigned business units
*Responsible for sourcing candidates, interviewing, hiring and conducting orientation
procedures to support continued growth
*Works with management to coordinate and forecast all staffing needs
*Integrate and communicate AA/Diversity goals with recruitment strategies

Employee Relations
*Provides consultative services and direction to all levels of management. Facilitates the resolution of employee issues within legal parameters while supporting practical solutions
*Partners with managers regarding all employee corrective action and terminations
*Ensure consistent application of company policies

Compensation/Performance Management
*Partner with clients and Compensation on all salary actions including the annual review
process
*Assists clients in developing job descriptions
*Consults with clients on annual performance management of staff including coaching,
counseling and career development

Training & Development
*Assess training/development needs and make recommendations on possible programs
*Provides training and education to all levels regarding interpretation and implementation of
Human Resources policies
*Coordinates leadership development and succession planning with senior level management

Other Generalist Responsibilities
*Acts as a thought leader in developing HR solutions to staffing issues that support business
unit objectives via actively participating in client group meetings
*Creates strong relationships with peer group and HR specialist groups to deliver the most
appropriate business solutions
*Partners in the creation of process improvements for HR department Qualifications: Basic qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
*Minimum of 7 years experience in large corporate setting
*Strong aptitude with MS Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS software

Desired skills:

*Thorough knowledge of Federal and California employment laws
*Proven experience operating as a strategic business partner, understanding how to add value
through a dual focus on the business operation and HR
*Experience working with and coaching a senior-level management team
*Proven track record of building strong working relationships with business and human
resource partners while fostering a cooperative work environment
*Ability to work collaboratively across divisions and functions to design solutions to business
issues
*Demonstrated organization and project management skills
*Demonstrated influencing, creative problem solving and analytical skills
*Strong conflict management & negotiation skills
*High professional standards regarding internal customer service, confidentiality and ethical
conduct
*Flexibility and adaptability: ability to successfully work under in fast pace environment and
handle highly sensitive issues while balancing employee advocacy, management desires
and business objectives
*Results-oriented with ability to gain and maintain management credibility
*Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
*Prior entertainment experience desired
*Master's/PHR/SPHR preferred
