Professional Contract Services, Inc. (PCSI), has an immediate opening for Director of EVS in a growing Military Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Qualifications: Must have previous hospital housekeeping applications experience (3 years minimum) with verifiable 5 years of Management, Budgeting, Scheduling and Hands on Training experience. The Director must be able to develop and maintain JCAHO compliance, Training requirements, Infection Control programs, Customer Relations, Safety Compliance, as well as the continued maintenance of best practices and cleaning procedures in a hospital environment in accordance with the American Society of Healthcare EVS. ASHES/CHESP Certifications are required at the time of employment.
Qualifications:
Provides professional leadership and direction for the Environmental Services at Evans Army Hospital, Ft. Carson, Colorado.Directs the development of strategic and operational plans responsive to the environmental concerns and priorities of Evans Army Hospital including laws and regulations applicable state and federal laws. Plans and manages projects and/or programs. Writes (or discusses) project/program plans(s) recommendation(s) and/or finding(s). Directing, coordinating and/or implementing environmental activities and analyses concerning air and water quality; noise; and cultural resources; and social, economic, aesthetics, and hazardous materials issues with local, state, and federal agencies. Develops and monitors the Department's budget including revenues, expenditures, and budget projection. Supervises personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective and disciplinary actions. Develops and recommends policies and procedures for environmental programs and assists with the development, implementation, and enforcement of various environmental laws and regulations. Participate on a variety of working groups related to environmental and cultural resource protection; attend and participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars locally and nationally to present and obtain information on behalf PCSI.Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive employee inquiries and complaints. Prepares comments and responses on proposed federal policies, projects, and procedures related to environmental and cultural concerns affecting Evans Army Hospital.Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.Education and Experience: Must have previous hospital housekeeping applications experience (3 years minimum) with verifiable 5 years of Management, Budgeting, Scheduling and Hands on Training experience.

Completion of college level course work equivalent to B.S. (Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent), in addition, post graduate coursework and training on federal, state and local regulatory laws which results in the appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities.
