Position Description:
Consults with management and reviews and presents project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing administrative computing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
These duties are deemed typical, but not inclusive of other duties as client and company needs change:
• Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
• Creates status reports and modifies schedules and plans as required.
• Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
• Monitors project results against technical specifications.
• Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.
• Develops quality assurance test plans and testing.
• May present project status to the client management team, various committees and Boards of Trustees.

In certain situations may be called upon to perform applications user liaison services; perform coding and detailed technical evaluations; or work in a very technical capacity.

Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree, or other advanced degree beyond the Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; minimum of five years of experience in the implementation and maintenance of a higher education industry leading enterprise applications environment that would include human resources, financials, student and alumni information systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific preference will be give to persons possessing experience with the PeopleSoft/Oracle enterprise software.

Ideally the candidate will have 4-7 yrs experience with Peoplesoft/Oracle, proficiency in PeopleTools and PeopleCode, hands-on coding including screen customizations, and proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL including triggers, stored procedures, queries, etc.

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• Prior experience in higher education IT
• Higher Education business acumen
