Director/Associate Director of Cost Accounting - Pharmaceutical Industry

(Location for Job is in the San Francisco Bay Area)

Relocation is available for this position.

Salary: $140-160k, plus bonus, options, etc.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide thought leadership in the areas of cost analysis, cost accounting, and cost optimization for the cost accounting group. Applicants must have a strong background in product cost analysis and cost accounting for manufacturing operations, particularly in the area of pharmaceutical or chemical processing. Cost Accounting experience in plant operations for a Fortune 500 Company in one of the following industries (Consumer Products, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical) is ideal. You will also be responsible for undertaking the business units expense and cost budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis. In addition, you will also oversee the application of cost accounting theory and work with external auditors to ensure that the cost accounting & reporting adheres to GAAP standards. Finally, strong management and leadership skills are critical to achieving success, as you will lead a staff of 6-8 employees.
Definite Requirements:

·        10-15 years professional experience in cost accounting and cost analysis. Applicants must have experience in being a thought leader in the area of cost accounting, and a strong technical acumen in accounting and finance.

·        Experience working in Consumer Products, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing highly desirable.

·        CPA required as well as a stint in public accounting.

·        MBA or MS in accounting highly desired.
