The Red Hat Sales Organization is seeking an aggressive salesperson with an ability to foster and cultivate relationships with enterprise customers throughout Georgia.  The Direct Sales Account Manager will be responsible for representing Red Hat solutions and services to a client base of leading enterprise companies, value-added resellers, independent software vendors and SMB customers and will be expected to position Red Hat at all levels within these organizations.  The work location will be Red Hat Atlanta - located in the heart of Buckhead.


Will also lead a team of peers who will assist in the planning and execution of sales plans for each account.  Will be expected to meet quantitative and qualitative performance expectations and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and value proposition to C-level and V-level executives.  Must have a demonstrated history of mentoring and coaching a sales team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

* Represent company to customer and customer to company in sales related matters

* Responsible for meeting assigned sales quota

* Understanding of customer's business and product requirements is necessary

* Responsible for growing existing business relationships and acquiring new business as well



* 7-10 years of selling technology products and/or services

* BS/BA degree

* Consistent track record of above plan performance

* Must have Channel sales experience and strong relationships with local, regional and national ISV's and VAR's

* Ability to articulate comprehensive technological strategies to a wide range of decision makers within an organization

* Knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS is preferred, along with a passion for open source technology

* Knowledge and experience of complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing enterprise license agreements

* Must be open to extensive business travel and able to meet, in-person at client sites when necessary

* Ability to think/act strategically and tactically
