SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The primary purpose and function of the CRM/Direct Marketing Specialist is to develop a deep understanding of marketing targets/segments and apply that knowledge to refine, develop, and execute high performing direct marketing programs. The CRM/Direct Marketing Specialist will assist in the development and execution of interactive marketing initiatives including web based content and feature development as well as external marketing efforts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
• Establish base-line performance levels for existing direct marketing programs.
• Propose enhancements to direct marketing programs to increase performance over time, measuring and tracking results on an ongoing basis.
• Develop and deliver direct marketing campaigns to drive target acquisition, retention and conversion making use of appropriate channels (shared mail, direct mail, email, auto dialer, etc.)
• Assist in establishing direct marketing campaign processes capable of managing multivariate testing, trigger-based communications, and contact management best practices for interim and CRM system enabled efforts.
• Create marketing material, newsletters, flyers, generating materials, and publicity for events and campaigns.
• Manage CRM campaign development and operations to produce scalable and repeatable processes
• Collaborate with team members and external agencies to develop and deploy predictive models supporting marketing initiatives.
• Aid in the development and execution of website content and features.
• Assist and manage various projects in the absence of the Marketing Programs Manager.
• Measure and track results on a consistent basis.
• Other job duties as assigned.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
• Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
• Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
• The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
• Environment where Pets are present.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts or related field preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training is preferred.
• Knowledge of media placement and graphic design concepts preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of CRM/direct marketing experience required with knowledge of marketing practices and principles preferred.
