Job Description:

Bancroft NeuroHealth is dedicated to fostering the highest quality of life for people of all ages with neurological disorders, including developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries.

Bancroft's Brain Injury Services program in Plainsboro, NJ has entry level, direct care openings for highly motivated individuals who want to learn to help adults with acquired brain injuries. Bancroft Brain Injury Services provides functional rehabilitation in residential and day program settings. Programs are designed to assist individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), strokes, and other neurological disorders compensate for physical, cognitive, and emotional problems.

These positions are ideal for students with interests in psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and teaching. Evening and weekend hours are available.

Duties of the position include: • Assisting individuals with acquired brain injury in activities of daily living, personal care, and recreation • Developing and implementing individual rehabilitation plan goals • Working with individuals with neurobehavioral issues to decrease problematic behaviors • Accompanying/driving individuals to appointments and activities • Participating on an interdisciplinary team with nursing, neuropsycholgy, and rehabilitation therapy • Maintaining required record, data, and reports

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; individuals working towards degrees in psychology, education or related fields will be considered • Valid Drivers license with no restrictions • Criminal Background clearance • Skills in organization, planning, and critical thinking • Excellent written and verbal communication • (2) Professional References We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including TUITION REIMBURSEMENT.
