DEVELOPMENT

OFFICER

West Virginia University Children's Hospital has a full-time opening for a Development Officer. The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Development Team for WVU Children's Hospital. They will develop and coordinate individual and corporate sponsor plans including public relations/ media support and coordinate selected annual giving programs which also include; direct mail, radioathons, phonathons, planned giving, grateful patient program, grants, memorials and donor recognition.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree.

* 3-5 years of related experience in healthcare fundraising, including proven success in special events and promotions.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

* Strong organization and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects & effectively communicate with people of varying backgrounds.

* Demonstrates a positive professional, enthusiastic demeanor in both written and oral communication skills.

The minimum qualifications may be waived for significant & relevant experience.
