Cabela’s, World’s Foremost Outfitter, has an immediate opening for a Developer IV at our Sidney, Nebraska location to support our continuing growth.

 

This position will be part of a team dedicated to supporting the replenishment business team. This position requires the ability to learn and support the replenishment software package(s); and design, develop and maintain interfaces and application enhancements according to the internal MIS standards, policies and procedures. This position will be working with multiple cross-functional teams to architect integrated and seamless solutions with packaged software; and assist various system operations groups in providing production support. This position will require the ability to work with the business group to understand, define and develop enhancements that fit their requirements.

 

This position requires:

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent, plus 3 or more years of design and development experience. 2 to 3 years experience integrating applications in multiple platform environments. 4 or more years of JAVA experience. 3 or more years of SQL experience. 2 or more years of UNIX (IBM AIX) experience. 1 or more years of XML experience. 1 or more years of Oracle experience. Knowledge of computer programming concepts and techniques. Knowledge of database design, modeling and common practices. Knowledge of structured application analysis, design and development life cycle. Knowledge of current and future information technology trends and their application. Utilization of sound judgment and technical problem solving skills, and the ability to apply them to solve current and future business requirements. Ability to balance concurrent assignments and projects of varying priorities, and to shift from one to another as the need dictates with minimal loss of productivity and quality. Ability to work within a small team and assume lead roles as required.

 

 

Additional Preferred Skills:

Experience with webMethods, Yantra, RPG, IBM AS/400 and iSeries are beneficial, but not required (willing to train) Experience with Retail (Planning, Replenishment and Order Management) beneficial, but not required (willing to train) Experience with Manhattan Associates Advanced Planning Suite and/or Replenishment Java very beneficial, but not required.
