Our local client seeks a customer friendly Desktop Support Analyst for a one day contract with the developer of a high-stakes assessment solution widely used by Law Schools and State Bar jurisdictions. As a Desktop Support Analyst you will me assisting customers in an educational environment with; Access to the Internet, Access to documents and General Technical questions using 3 programs for creating & Storing exam content, Secure exam taking and exam results processing. The Ideal Desktop Support Analyst will be friendly, well presented and eager to resolve customer issues. JOB DESCRIPTION Provide technical assistance to users of exam-taking computer lock down software and log incidents that arise relating to software issues during a 1 or 2-day high stakes examination. This assistance will be provided at the exam site and typically runs from 7:00am until 5:30pm. Tasks • Participate in a live online training session, review materials prior to exam day and take an software skills test utilizing the same software that will be used by the exam takers. • Read the software manuals provided. • Answer user inquiries regarding software operation to resolve problems. • Observe software functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors. • Maintain records of events and communicate problems and remedial actions taken to your contact. • Investigate and resolve problems to provide technical assistance and support. Qualifications :
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience • Education: High School graduate • Certificate: CompTIA A+ Certification or 3+ years experience in phone or in-person technical support Skills. Basic Skills • Active Learning • Active Listening • Critical Thinking • Speaking Social Skills • Service Orientation • Ability to calmly deal with exam takers during a very high-stress experience Technical Skills • Troubleshooting • Desktop Computer Skills • Spreadsheets (simple data entry) • Internet • Word Processing Knowledge Required: • Computers and Electronics (notebook PC’s in particular) • Customer and Personal Service • English Language DRESS CODE Business casual, no jeans, no sneakers
