Description:

Manage the production of multilingual projects that include desktop publishing: including project planning, desktop publishing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting. Perform desktop publishing of multiple projects, utilizing InDesign, FrameMaker, Quark XPress, Illustrator, or other publishing software programs. Perform quality reviews for completed projects, checking for DTP issues such as formatting, design, punctuation, client specs, foreign language issues. Familiarity with specific language requirements is desirable but not necessary. Communicate regularly with Management, Project Managers and other Production team members, as well as client contacts, to ensure that client expectations and project deadlines are met. Additionally interact with Project Managers, other Production people and Vendors in foreign countries.

Required Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 5+ years experience in desktop publishing Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment Experience with InDesign, QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, FrameMaker/Structured FrameMaker, Flash, web authoring tools, etc. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, familiarity with database software and Internet literate Excellent written and spoken communication skills Proven ability for attention to detail, and quality control is required Good initiation, anticipation and problem-solving skills Highly organized and detail-oriented, calm under pressure Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus Must be willing to continuously learn new skills, take on challenges and thrive on success, work well with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, work within a team, and commit to a high level of customer service
