Desktop Publisher/ Graphic Designer

Responsibilities:

Desktop Publishing: Create product, promotional and marketing collateral material to support sales. Includes layout, copywriting, technical research, proofing, circulating, printing and maintenance support of existing literature.

Graphic Design: Create original artwork in Illustrator and Photoshop for promotional flyers, posters and marketing displays.

Marketing Support: Special marketing support programs as needed: trade shows, distributor training, sales reports, distributor programs, literature fulfillment, slide programs, and electronic filing of photography.

Corporate Support: Assist other departments as a creative service arm to the organization.

Key activities: Plan, organize and create layouts and graphic designs for Sales, Marketing, Motorsports, Training, HR, EHS, and Corporate Fund Raising Programs. Projects include: product, Motorsports and corporate advertising; posters, tent cards, hang tags, sales flyers and distributor programs; product comparisons, product literature, slide programs, sales guides, demo guides and other product marketing materials.

Requirements:

High-school education or equivalent with an emphasis in graphic arts or desktop publishing. Some college or advanced courses desirable. Ability to plan, organize, communicate, and work in a team environment while handling a wide variety of technical projects simultaneously.

Computer experience desirable in desktop publishing, with Quark Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes. Ability to operate printers, modems, scanning devices and various other computer hardware.
