JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a candidate to Support the internal teams through the design, development, and implementation of automation, tooling, and specialized equipment. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-pace environment, quickly addressing day-to-day issues and yet still remain focused on prioritized tasks. Excellent organization, time-management, record-keeping, and communication skills are essential. A self-motivated individual that is detail-oriented and can function both independently as well as part of a team is required in our Shakopee, Minnesota location. The successful candidate will support the automation group in drafting and design activities. Will be responsible for generating mechanical assembly and component drawings from concepts as well as upgrading existing mechanical drawings. Create engineering changes through an ECO process and work with engineering in developing designs for cost reduction. Essential requirements for this position include expertise in using Pro Intralink 3.4 and Wildfire 2.0, Basic reading, math, verbal and written communication skills, mechanical engineering and technical skills typically acquired through completion of an Associates Degree in an Engineering field or equivalent experience. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops designs and drawings to fulfill technical objectives consistent with established guidelines, customer requirements, design specifications, and cost targets. Knowledge of sources for component parts used in development Thorough understanding of industry accepted design standards. Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
