Job Description:

This position is responsible for generating 3D models and associated fabrication drawings for process water equipment in the SolidWorks and Pro-E design platforms. The candidate will work closely with senior level drafter/designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Manufacturing Personnel to ensure that products are reliable and quality focused. Duties will be primarily focused on the design of custom equipment, following market related best design practices and adhering to customer specifications.
• Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Computer file maintenance including routine backup and handling of all project files.
• Ability to draw / design in standard format from sketch, schematic and layout.
• Fabrications - extract and detail from General Arrangement Models drawings, frames and pipe fabrication details. Draw accurately from manufacturer cut sheets, similar design concepts, customer specifications and other input from engineering with respect to component content, footprint, and input/output configuration and height restrictions.
• Document physical arrangement of assemblies for use by Manufacturing and/or sales.
• Provide supporting documentation, such as plot plans and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) during initial project definition.
• Report station workload status.
• Establish drawing standards consistent with internal, vendor or customer needs, as appropriate.
• Establish understanding of water filtration equipment, structural support, and fluid mechanics.

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
• Prefer Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent in experience.
• Prefer 3 years experience in Pro-Engineer and / or SolidWorks 3D modeling and pipe routing, system setup and software maintenance. Routing experience is critical.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in piping systems’ layout and design.
• Minimum knowledge of computer support programs such as Windows, MS application software (to include all Office Products).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be team player and demonstrate strong ability to succeed in team environment.
