Steve Greene & Associates is currently under contract to provide both management and design services for the final design and services during construction on two major civil engineering projects in the Salt Lake Valley; the West Valley Light Rail Transit Project and the Airport TRAX Line Project. These projects are part of the Utah Transit Authority's 2015 Transit Initiative. The project team consists of many different consultant companies each with unique skill sets - some are collocated in the project office, others are in off-site locations across the United States. The position offered is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

SG&A is based in Salt Lake City and is looking for a design manager to work directly under the project manager to facilitate coordination amongst designers, conduct design reviews, conduct integration reviews, ensure compliance with established standards, coordinate quality control activities, and other duties as assigned. This position is a permanent position with SG&A intended to extend beyond the current projects.

Minimum Requirements: 10 years of work related civil engineering experience. CAndidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and must be licensed as a Professional Engineer and capable of obtaining reciprocity in Utah within 6 months. Design experience in roadway, utilities, traffic signal design, structures, or rail is required. A minimum of 4 years of design project management experience is required. Candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, a team player, professional, motivated, and have strong communication skills.
