Description:
One of the leading global Heavy Duty Automotive Parts manufacturers has an opportunity for a DESIGN ENGINEER. This company is a global leader in their industry, and has had significant growth in the past few years, and that growth is continuing! Job Purpose: To focus on engineering projects based upon client's needs for heavy duty engine parts. Provide overall engineering support to Engineering and Quality Department. Gather technical specifications for product design and development per customer requirements and then design and adapt parts using Pro-E modeling software base upon customer's requests. Submit Pro-E models and/or marked up drawings for accurate quoting. Order required samples (existing components and/or prototype components). Travel to customer sites for meetings and assist in installation at client location; with an estimated 20% travel time. Communicate engineering changes to appropriate Department and/or team member Maintain engineering files and procedures and assist in budge preparations as required. Act a first point of contact for clients in quality issues. Document client complaint information and communicate to appropriate department.

Requirements:
Manufacturing Engineering degree. Advance degree is preferred. 2+ years of experience with Pro-E Modeling software. 2+ years of working knowledge and proficiency in kinematics Ability to work in a cross functional team environment.
