As a systems engineering team member, a Robotic Systems Design Engineer participates in the conceptualization of automated systems designs defining a ‘Scope of Work’ for specific customer applications.  During the sales process, a Robotic Systems Design Engineer creates system layouts and prepares a project budget supporting the concept design and scope-of-work.  Following receipt of an order, the Robotic Systems Design Engineer is responsible for the design and procurement of all mechanical hardware required for the scheduled completion of the defined scope of work.

To join the Gosiger Automation Division Team, a candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications:

Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or associated field required.  Bachelor's Degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design is required with: Demonstrated design competence using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Practical experience designing automated industrial robot-based systems for machine load/unload.Experience designing and sizing robot end-of-arm tooling.Design experience with typical robot peripheral equipment such as conveyor systems, work holding fixtures,  and other devises to interact with robotsPractical knowledge of alternative machining and fabrication processesPersonal and Project Management skillsAdditional experience in the following areas is desirable:Robotic palletizing and material handling applicationsRobotic deburring, cutting and material removal applicationIndustrial Robot ProgrammingCNC Machine Tool ProgrammingMust have excellent interpersonal communication skillsMust have ability to multi-task and set personal prioritiesMust have strong initiative and personal commitmentMust be consciousness, thorough and accurateMust be able to travel on short notice up to 25% of the time.
