Design Engineer - Novi, Michigan Job Responsibilities: -The jobholder will be part of an engineering group responsible for the design of lightweight aluminum structures for the automotive industry. -Main tasks of the jobholder will include the creation and modification of part and component designs using CATIA V5, creation and updating of BOMs, and creation of manufacturing prints, including GD&T. To be effective in this position the following is required: -Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (civil, aeronautical, automotive, etc.) -2 yr Design experience in auto structures, body, interior, or equivalent. -1 yr CATIA v5 experience. -Aseembly and GD&T awareness. -Manufacturing experience is a plus. -A test will be administered at the time of 1st interview to evaluate CAD and basic engineering knowledge.
