Dewberry, an ENR Top 50 engineering/architecture firm based in the Washington, DC area with 1,955 employees and 34 offices in 17 States, is seeking a Deputy Division Manager for our growing Federal Programs Division. Successful candidates will focus on ensuring that multiple Business Units are profitable and that projects are successful. The Deputy Division Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Dewberry provides the highest quality professional services to our federal sector clients along all of Dewberry's service lines, including; Water Resources and Infrastructure Engineering, GIS services, Building and Architectural services, Program Management, and other Strategic Initiatives. Position requires an extensive management background, including experience managing programs of $100 million or more. Candidates should have a proven ability to achieve positive results in marketing and business development to include experience preparing proposals (technical and cost) and experience in contracting with federal agencies. The Deputy Division Manager makes critical decisions within their areas of responsibility and exercises authority as delegated by the Division Manager. With the Division Manager, the Deputy leads the way in achieving the strategic vision of Dewberry's Federal Programs Division. Opportunity exists for growth into a Division Manager position.
Responsibilities:
Develop pioneering initiatives for growthWith the Division Manager, lead Strategic and tactical planningBuild enduring relationships with Federal Programs clients as a trusted and respected advisorLead the Federal Program Client Management ProgramParticipate in Business Development including go/no-go decisions, proposals and contracts within delegated authorityUnderstand and use the full capabilities of Dewberry in all projects.Develop outstanding Dewberry managersSupervise Group Leaders, monitor and improve operational financial drivers, such as- profit,revenue,capital expenditures,utilization,A/R, WIP Direct the annual budget process Evaluate staff sufficiency, labor costs, staffing requests, and turnover, and technical competency of the DivisionEnforce Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Business and Administrative Procedures (BAPS) and Federal Programs procedures.Champion Quality and Risk Management Required Skills
