The Department Head is the chief academic and administrative officer of the Design & Facilities department that includes programs in Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Facilities Planning and Management. Responsible for the department's students, staff and faculty, special projects and resources and other duties including academic planning and evaluation, scheduling, implementation, quality of instruction, and professional development and service by faculty.

Minimum Qualifications: The Department Head must be an experienced educator who has strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. A Master's degree in one of the programs in the department or a related field is required. Professional registration in appropriate field is preferred. Experience at a sufficient level that includes a record of success in professional practice, education and administration. The Department Head should be active in at least one professional society.
