DENTIST

Anoka, Brainerd, Fergus Falls, Maplewood, and Willmar Minnesota

Up to $58.02 hourly

Positions will be in various employment conditions, including full time, part time and intermittent.
Performs professional dental work, examines and takes dental histories of all patients upon admission in order to determine extent of care needed. Examines patients and administers tests so that dental malfunctions are discovered. Performs oral surgery as required in order to remedy dental malfunctions. Collaborates with a physician in order to discuss suspected systemic conditions. Instructs nurses and technicians so that oral care can be provided to the patient. Orders laboratory examinations and analysis, x-rays, and specific medication so that complete dental care is provided. Keeps records and makes reports in order to document patients' dental progress. Attends staff conferences and participates on committees in order to communicate with professional staff of the institution. Maintains a qualified dental staff in order to deliver efficient service to all residents.  

Some travel may be required.

Qualifications:  Eligibility to practice dentistry in the State of Minnesota.  Knowledge of  principles and practices of general dentistry;  techniques involved and the skill in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of dental diseases and injuries; recent developments in the field of general dentistry, and characteristics and usages of modern drugs.  Ability to establish and maintain a therapeutic office and/or hospital atmosphere  and provide leadership in work with patients and employees

Benefits:  In addition, the state's contribution toward your insurance, retirement, and Medicare and Social Security benefits is 30 percent of your salary.  Not including the cost of vacation time, holidays, sick leave and other benefits.  Employees earn 11 paid holidays per year.  Health insurance is free to employees who work 3/4 time or more.  Dependent coverage is $63.00 semi-monthly.  Dental insurance is $2.50 semi-monthly for employee coverage.
