Delivery Driver

Watertown, SD Branch

Purpose of the Position:

Supports the day to day operations of the Watertown Branch providing order and delivery services according to the mission and culture while meeting the goals and objectives set forth by the management team.

Responsibilities:

Perform the responsibilities of the Driver position in the Watertown Branch of J.H. Larson Company adhering to and implementing the corporate mission, philosophy, culture goals, objectives, policies and procedures.

Work effectively as a team with J.H. Larson management and all J.H. Larson Company personnel.

Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers, promote and maintain the image and reputation of J.H. Larson Company, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving complaints as they arise.

Make all deliveries and pick-ups in a safe and timely basis on designated route. Loading of truck for deliveries. Help pick orders when not driving.

Maintain neat and orderly work areas including truck cab areas to ensure a safe working environment.

Provide prompt and accurate order services and warehouse assistance as requested.

Perform and fulfill other assignments as assigned by supervisor or warehouse manager.

Make all deliveries to Job Sites.

Must do daily check of truck and turn in log to warehouse manager.

While not trying to limit drivers contact with customers, it must be understood that all changes in deliveries must be done with the shipping manager’s approval.

Reporting Relationships:

The Driver reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications

Some Warehouse and Shipping Experience beneficial.

Must have a valid Class B  Drivers License.

Must be DOT Certified.

Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications abilities. Ability to effectively organize.

Must have High School Diploma.
