ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and implement customized systems and solutions for clients using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite of software including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE and/or ArcIMS and extensions.Work closely with project managers, consultants, account managers, marketing staff, U.S. Government clients, and other contractors to analyze problems, define requirements and develop solutions.Provide technical consulting and support to customers. Document all work performed at client sites for future reference.
RequirementsBachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, GIS or a related field.Experience working in an applications development environment including expertise in Java and/or .NET (years of experience commensurate with position level: senior, 11 plus years; mid-level, four to 10 years; and junior, less than three years).Experience with Oracle, SQL Server or other RDBMS.Willingness to travel domestically, primarily within region.Excellent communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.U.S. citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
Recommended QualificationsExperience with ESRI software including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE and/or ArcIMS.Experience with component-based architectures, OO, COM and/or SOA.Experience with other industry-standard technologies such as XML, Web services, application servers and/or Web servers.Data modeling and UML experience.Knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS.Previous technical leadership of a project development team.Experience with software estimating, planning, and progress tracking.The Company:Since 1969, ESRI has been giving customers around the world the power to think and plan geographically.
