Dealer Marketing Specialist
Overview
Act as the critical support person for the planning, development and implementation of tactical marketing campaigns targeted at existing pre-owned car dealer customers and prospects nationally. Participate in a wide array of marketing projects/programs to achieve corporate sales and retention goals. This position reports to the Marketing Manager, Dealer Acquisition & Retention.
Job Function
· Assist with the development, production and implementation of a variety of B2B marketing programs targeted towards car manufacturers and pre-owned car dealerships.
· Participate in the planning, development and execution of direct marketing initiatives through direct mail, broadcast fax, e-mail, online and offline advertising.
· Coordinate with various internal groups to develop project schedules, mail lists, promotions, offers, creative, positioning/messaging, marketing mediums and response channels, etc.
· Effectively manage and coordinate multiple campaigns and projects in varying stages of development.
· Execute programs in a timely and accurate manner, while adhering to assigned budgets.
· Develop and maintain tracking systems to analyze response and return on investment (ROI) at a campaign level. Report results internally to a broad audience.
· Coordinate with internal groups to achieve effective marketing creative and production efficiencies within budget and within tight timeframes.
· Gain an understanding of the needs/issues of our pre-owned car dealer customers through regular phone monitoring of inbound and outbound calls; in-market visits to dealers/manufacturers with field personnel; roundtables with sales and service reps; attendance at industry conferences and dealer sales events, etc.
· Engage in ongoing educational and enrichment efforts by participating in career/management training seminars and marketing conferences.
Competencies
· B2B Marketing – Experience in a B2B marketing environment using mediums such as direct mail, broadcast fax, e-mail, online and offline advertising, customer communications, sales tools, Web site content, industry conferences and sales events.
· Project Management – Must have the ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines and a strict attention to detail.
· Interpersonal and Communication Skills – Must have the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of internal personnel and external agencies/vendors.
· Analytical Skills – Must have the ability to understand, track, analyze and use information to develop more effective marketing programs.

Qualifications
· BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
· Minimum of 3–5 years experience in a direct marketing environment, ideally B2B.
· Superior communications skills. Experience working across multiple departments at many levels.
· Strong knowledge of business related software, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and desktop publishing programs.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
