Database Administrator / Developer
Uline, a rapidly-growing international distributor of packaging and industrial supplies, seeks a Database Administrator / Developer for their Corporate Office in Waukegan, IL, south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Maintain, enhance, and develop critical SQL Server and Oracle databases

Develop and execute an overall database architecture strategy, along with necessary data standards and practices (includes SQL Server 2005 migration, implementation of HA architecture and creating common data interface layers)

Work closely with strategic project teams to develop data models that support business processes

Work with application development teams to ensure that database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled

5+ years experience working in an IT department as a multi-platform database professional (administrator, designer, developer, architect)

Must have experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 on Windows - experience with Oracle on Windows/Linus a plus

Heavy "hands-on" programming experience with stored procedures, Transact SQL and/or PL/SQL

Experience implementing fundamentally sound data warehouses using proper data modeling and normalization principles

Experience with data replication (SQL Server and Data Mirror) and ETL tools (DTS/SSIS, Informatica, DataStage) a plus

Knowledge of Oracle Applications database and interfaces a plus

Bachelor's degree preferred
