Job Summary

Data Security Account Executive

·         The Data Security Business Unit of RSA, the Security Division of EMC, is searching for an account manager who will be responsible for selling RSA’s solutions for securing enterprise data.

 

The successful candidate should be comfortable selling highly complex solutions in a very competitive environment at all levels of the business and IT.  The role is based in greater Boston.  Co-selling with sales colleagues across EMC will be crucial, so candidates will need to develop strong business relationships internally as well as externally.  This role reports to the District Manager, who is based in the Boston area. .  A minimum of five (5) years of direct field sales experience is mandatory, as is proof of quota achievement (via W2’s).  The successful candidate will be located in an RSA office but will also be mobile with moderate travel within territory (up to 70% of the time).

 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 
• Develop and execute a business plan for the territory and key accounts. 
• Drive and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual invoice, revenue and booking targets as outlined by management. 
• Deliver customer presentations as necessary.




Skills
• Possess excellent business acumen.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 
• Excellent formal presentation skills. 
• Exceptional problem solving skills and strong customer focus required. 
• Strong technical sales experience. 
• Knowledge of information security and information technology is extremely important. 
• Comfortable interacting with the C Level leaders
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced complex environment. 
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
