Research Engineer/Scientist II/Senior (Data Modeler/Developer) Computer Science and Information Technology Division Information Technology and Telecommunications Lab Georgia Tech Research Institute Full-time, permanent position available starting immediately. Looking for a data modeler with 3+ years experience in data modeling and associated representational standards, methodologies, and tools to specify, develop, and facilitate the implementation of information exchange standards and architectures. Must have demonstrated experience in: •Data modeling concepts, methodologies, and tools, •XML, GML, KML, and other W3C markup language standards and the current tools of the trade, •familiar with semantic web, UML, and web service technology, including Java, .Net, OWL, RDF and other tools, programming languages and standards for a SOA environment. The primary work assignment would be as a data modeler and software developer for projects serving the military Command and Control (C2) community. Ideal candidate would have an MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering and have 3-10 years of specialized experience in software development. Experience with AJAX, enterprise application integration (EAI) technologies, databases, portals and collaboration technologies as well as experience in a Joint Military C2 environment a significant plus. Additionally, experience with UCORE, NIEM, GJXDM, or (U) LEXS also be considered favorably. The project is based at 250 14th Street near the Georgia Tech campus but some travel is required. Candidate must be a US citizen eligible for a security clearance. A security clearance may be required but is not required at time of application. Selection process will include passing a pre-employment background screening.
