POSITION SUMMARY:

Scottrade is looking for an Industry Professional that has large scale (50,000+sqft. raised floor) Data Center Operations and People Management experience (Local/Remote). This position will be responsible for all aspects of Data Center Operations to include but not limited to our core systems for all production, testing, and development systems. In addition, all network systems, and other support areas not listed.

Successful Candidate must use their organizational skills to prioritize tasks and proactively take ownership of various projects. Have the urgency to anticipate busy schedules and teamwork to communicate with other members of the department to complete assignments on time and accurately. Possess openness in their problem-solving and integrity in their research to effectively address the needs of employees company wide.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee Day to Day Data Center Operations Implement Tactical and Long Term Strategy Management of Standards Enforcing, Managing, Creating, Policy, Procedures Assess and report power, space, and cooling usage on a regular basis Project Management Management of Vendors & Contractors Capacity Planning Provide infrastructure production support to the various teams including; Server, SAN, Networking, Computer Operations and Security Manage the access control into the data center Ensure cleanliness of the data center Assist in supporting audit initiatives Organize the racking and stacking, and manage the power needs Ensuring Patch cables are run Logistics, Transportation, and Asset Management of Data Center devices Creation & Management of Documentation, Reporting, and Metrics Management of Ticket Queue Responding to emergencies in the Data Center Prioritize, coordinate, and deliver special technology projects Perform On-call support as needed Other duties as needed Required Skills

Understanding of distributed hardware including - Intel, Cisco, etc. required Cabling experience, including fiber, coax, copper runs required Demonstrated project management and problem analysis/resolution skills Candidate must be driven, self-motivated, and a strong team player Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new solutions / programs / ideas In depth knowledge of Enterprise class-facilities management processes and procedures In depth understanding of rack space management, patch cable management, power allocation and management Basic understanding of Server, SAN and Networking technologies Ability for occasional travel 10% Ability to perform Electrical/Mechanical Calculations Understanding of IEEE specifications for systems and network cabling Familiar with Power requirements for data center hardware preferred Familiar with HVAC requirements for a data center facility (Certification Preferred) Experience with Linux, and Windows operating systems preferred Experience with Networking Hardware (Cisco) preferred Experience with developing and meeting Service Level Agreement requirements preferred Required Experience

BS/BA degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent training, education and/or on the job experience required. 5+ years of data center technical experience. 3+ years of data center work experience in a management role. 3 + years of Facilities management experience in a large enterprise environment
