Support the data architecture, reporting and other general needs within the Enterprise Data Warehouse. This could entail working with physicians, actuaries, administrators, data managers, data analysts and others to define and meet the ongoing data requirements of a Clinical Program, Clinical Support Service, Health Plan or any other business area . Other duties will include: maintaining current data marts, data loads, and reports, and assisting in the development of any new data marts. This position will be responsible for data marts from beginning to end. Guided by and working closely with the data manager in overall project management, requirements gathering, data modeling (logical and physical), design of data marts in Oracle, ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) programming of required data, as well as the operations, maintenance and support of the data marts. The incumbent will also be tasked with other duties as needed by the team. Candidates must be comfortable working at various levels, from project management to hands-on database tasks and programming. They must have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment . This position will report to the Enterprise Data Warehouse team. Bachelor's Degree, and at least 2 years experience in data architecture and database design in a data warehouse or transaction system or equivalent training/experience. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following, in order of importance: (1) Interpersonal skills: Energetic, values-based personality with the ability to work selflessly in a team environment. Leadership skills. Self starter comfortable working with little oversight. A commitment to the core mission of health care and Intermountain Healthcare. (2) Technical skills: Must possess a solid understanding data normalization and relational database design (OLAP and OLTP); SQL, preferably in an Oracle environment; and project management 3) Domain knowledge: Familiarity with the health care industry and data warehousing and business intelligence disciplines. Preferred Skills: SQL, PL/SQL, Extract Transform and Load programming, Cognos, project management experience, Java, HTML, and XML, clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or Physician office.
