Data Analyst (08-0603) Under the general direction of the Senior Biostatistician, the Data Analyst is responsible for carrying out selected data management and analysis activities for a variety of department projects Major Responsibilities: ? Assist in the design and development of data collection instruments, databases and procedure manuals ? Design, implement, and perform data management and quality control procedures as necessary for routine and special projects ? Design and program reports to assess site performance for the various projects ? Assist in the preparation of project reports by providing data analysis, graphics, and other related information ? Assist in the analysis of data from complex studies as directed by the senior biostatistician ? Provide tabular and graphic summaries of analyses in a form suitable for inclusion in manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed scientific journals as well as for presentation at scientific meetings ? Travel to regular meetings of the Physician Advisory Boards and present findings ? Attend project team meetings as needed ? Perform other duties as required. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: ? MS in biostatistics, statistics or epidemiology ? Working knowledge of microcomputers ? Demonstrated ability to work with software programs and utilize software packages for microcomputers (i.e. SAS, Access, Excel, Power Point and Epi Info) ? Ability to conduct and interpret multivariable regression analysis ? Excellent communications, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a wide range of individuals ? Normal visual acuity, hearing and manual dexterity
