CITY: Wilmington STATE: Massachusetts COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities): The Customer Support Supervisor reports to the Manager, Customer Support Operations -Americas, and is responsible for leading the depot team in the repair of customer instruments in the depot repair area. The Customer Support Supervisor sets the priorities for the members of the depot repair team. This position is responsible for maintaining a disciplined work area by overseeing daily depot activities. *Function as a liaison between Depot Repair Technicians and the Manager Customer Support Operations - Americas. *Oversee the daily activities of the Depot Service Engineers including the preparation of shift work schedules (instrument priorities), phone support schedules (7x24) and vacation schedules. *Performs repairs on customer owned, demo, and loaner instruments. *Advise Customer Support Management as to the training needs of Depot Repair Technicians. *Advise Customer Support Management of personnel issues as they relate to job performance where disciplinary measures may be required. *Keep Customer Support Management up to date on service issues as they arise. *Ensures compliance with company/departmental policies and procedures and reports variances to Depot Service Management. *Works closely with Customer Service/Contracts Management / Finance to ensure accurate billing for all invoicable services rendered. *Proven track record in the use of Oracle, preferably in a services environment. *Strong data basing skills and the ability to create customized queries / reports as needed to accomplish daily tasks. *Responsible for meeting all contractual turn-around-times. *Assists in 7x24 phone support when required. *Perform any other tasks as requested by Depot Service Management Qualifications/Requirements: *Bachelors Degree in Electronics or related field. *Minimum 10 years of electronic repair experience. *Minimum 10 years of hands on service experience working with high -technology based instrumentation. *Minimum of 5 years of Customer Support Supervisor experience is required. *As the US Government restricts access by Foreign Nationals to certain types of technology and technical data, candidate must be a US national, permanent resident alien (Green Card holder), or protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act. *Familiarity with electronic test equipment (DVM's Oscilloscopes, etc). *Advanced troubleshooting and repair knowledge. *Excellent organization skills. *Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. *Proven Leadership experience required. *You must be 18 years or older. *You must submit your application through www.gecareers.com *You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process. *You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process. *You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. *You must be willing to work out of an office in Wilmington, MA *You must be willing to accept an annual salary that is not more than $78,000 Desired: General: ABOUT GE SECURITY GE Security spans the globe as a technological leader in the rapidly growing electronic security industry.
