Navigator Staffing Services is currently recruiting for an experienced, seasoned Accountant, with a solid work history and strong work ethic. The tenured professional will be responsible for full cycle accounting functions. Essential functions will include the preparation of monthly statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, the facilitation of monthly closings, accurate coding verification, and assistance in ad hoc projects in collaboration with the Accounting Supervisor and/or Controller.

Qualified candidates for this position are required to possess the following:

¨                Bachelor’s degree in Accounting  or Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance

¨                Minimum 3 years of previous work experience as a staff account

¨                Property accounting experience preferred

¨                Applied knowledge and use of Peachtree and Oracle

¨                Expert level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

¨                Understand all areas of the Accounting function and principles

¨                Excellent verbal/written communication skills

¨                Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

*Senior Accountant*

An Atlanta-based organization has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. The selected candidate will become the newest member of an innovative organization that remains a leader among national restaurant chains in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Public transportation is accessible, in addition to free parking. This is a salaried position with a base pay rate of $60 – 75K, to commensurate with experience.

Qualified applicants are required to possess the following:

·         CPA or Candidate (currently preparing for exam)

·         Degree in Accounting required

·         2 - 5 years experience preferred

·         Familiar with all areas of general accounting including Inventory, A/P and A/R and G/L

·         Good understanding of accounting software, processing procedures and accounting theory

·         Mastery of Excel and Word

·         Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

·         Oracle Knowledge a plus

Duties held under this position will include:

·        Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and prepare daily cash analysis

·        Review aged checks for resolution

·        Calculate National Media cash balances monthly and book adjustments

·        Prepare monthly recurring journal entries

·        Perform monthly close of inventory

·        Perform monthly close of purchase orders

·        Prepare Georgia Sales & Use Tax Return

·        Calculate Pepsi revenue recognition

·        Calculate current month Domestic and National Media dues

·        Calculate current month Canadian dues and foreign translation adjustment

·        Calculate Advertising Funds Advance/Excess

·        Review Variance Analysis worksheet for reasonableness
