CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVEThe successful candidate for this position will act as an important line of communication for all SurgiVet customers, customer purchasing departments, banking representatives, freight forwarders, manufacturing and shipping departments. Consequently, a courteous and professional manner is required, along with effective communication skills. The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, processing customer orders and scheduling shipments, preparing quotations and proforma invoices, preparing export documentation and corresponding via fax and phone with all SurgiVet customers.

Specifically, the Customer Service representative will: Interview customers and record interview information into computer for customer service Receive and review incoming orders via phone, fax and mail. Solicit sale of new or additional services. Process customer orders, prepare quotations/proforma invoices and shipping documentation and provide follow-up. Communicate with customers regarding delivery information, order confirmation, pricing, credit status and international flight details. Work with freight forwarders to obtain freight quotes and schedule pick-ups and review freight forwarder invoices for accuracy and submit them to Accounting for payment. Communicate customer requests for pricing and literature to Marketing/Sales via lead forms. Review all letters of credit to ensure that all terms meet SurgiVet requirements. Follow through on international payment transactions until funds are received into SurgiVet’s bank account. Follow up on past due international accounts and perform routine check of accounts notifying them of past due status. Pull, review and distribute acknowledgments and separate and distribute packing lists according to the established schedule. Maintain current customer profiles for all assigned customer accounts. Maintain a follow up file for on-going projects and correspondence. Collate and file domestic and international shipping information as necessary. Adjust complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.

Qualifications include:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two+ years related experience as a Veterinary Tech or in a Veterinary environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working in domestic and/or international customer service preferred.
