1. Secure and enter customer orders quickly and accurately in response to telephone, fax or E-mail communication from either the customer or internal field sales representatives. 2. Both in verbal or written form, quote price and delivery in response to customer inquiry and follow up on quotes at a later date. 3. Negotiate, monitor and renew contracts proactively. Ensure appropriate stock levels etc. are maintained. 4. Expedite existing orders in response to customer or field sales inquiry. 5. Negotiate, in the best interest of the company, customer credit requests and issue the appropriate return authorizations. 6. Create new customer masters as required. Additionally, create and maintain Contact Management System (CMS) profiles as information is made available. 7. Review business system error logs or reports as scheduled by management. 8. Maintain a working knowledge of existing and new products & services. 9. Assist in training new employees in procedure, systems & product. 10. Create non-Focused ISP Material Masters as required.
Minimum high school graduate. Post secondary business or vocational (metalworking) training preferred or a minimum of 1 to 2 years of previous customer service experience in an industrial environment. General knowledge of machine shop or manufacturing practices is a plus. Candidates for this position must possess a strong customer service orientation, must be punctual, organized, and have the ability to work within a highly computerized business environment. SAP experience is desirable.
