Description: Eaton Corporation located in Spartanbourg South Carolina has an opening for Customer Service Engr
-Support 24/7 response time with Eaton plants and customers. 48-hour on-site response time to customers locations
-Maintain customer relationships by frequently proactively visiting all customer facilities in North America. Schedules are provided prior to the visit.
-Diffuse potentially difficult customers and issues
Initially analyze parts and assess situations pertinent to the resolution of the customer concern.
-Schedule and support Plant and Divisional management customer visits
-Coordinate quality customer service back up resources for North America
-Provide weekly trip reports, providing customer updates, at a minimum, resource changes, inventory level, quality disruptions (Eaton and others), competitor information.
-Develop and maintain Quarterly a customer contact list, name, title, phone numbers, and next level supervisor
-Train global quality customer service resources (primary and secondary).
-Plan and coordinate customer functions (i.e., golf outings, and other events), with approval from Divisional Quality Manager.
-Proactively work with customer and plant to anticipate and address problems and issues before they occur.
-Final responsibility for ensuring customer issues are closed in a timely fashion through coordination with plant quality engineers.
-Maintain Customer contact database

oAutomotive Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) or Tier 1 experience desired.
oProduct engineering experience, however not mandatory.
oManufacturing engineering or technical experience, knowledge of engine design and assembly processes as it relates to customer engine build issues helpful.
oProblem solver / Troubleshooter, capable of sizing up the situation quickly and addressing the issue.
oHighly effective Interpersonal skills. Ability to coordinate activities across all levels of the Eaton and customer locations to resolve issues.
oProject management skills, coordination of customer visits, and follow up to open issues.
