The Customer Marketing Manager will work closely with the Lexmark retail sales team to devise customer specific strategies in the areas of category, product, pricing and promotion in driving hardware and supplies sales.  This role will act as a consultant for both the retailer and sales teams on the retail marketing, merchandising and channel development strategies.  This position will focus on strategic retail accounts.

 

As a global leader, our market position is supported through a variety of company programs, departments and major retailers, such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Staples, OfficeMax, etc.  As we continue to grow, it is the responsibility of the Customer Marketing Manager to work with the various functional areas within the organization in managing and supporting their customers through the following:

 

• Monitoring, analyzing and translating hardware/supplies market trends into solid customer strategies

• Research and understand customer market strategies (total market and applicable categories) and communicate these with Lexmark team(s)

• Develop and execute to specific customer strategies as it relates to product, promotion and pricing

• Work with Product/Category Manager in tracking retail sell-thru trends, estimate pricing changes, and understanding competitive product moves

• Design, execute and direct customer promotional plans, measure their effectiveness, and manage spend with sales directors and finance

• Monthly communication meetings/discoveries for various departments summarizing previous month learnings within account/channel

• Accountable for the elevation of product mix and marketing E/R within the designated accounts

• Assist in the management of account relationships and negotiations

• Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

- 5+ years of related work experience required

- Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred

- Successful track record in consumer packaged goods marketing

- Technology industry experience a plus

- Good understanding of retail or commercial office products channel

- Strong analytical skills with ability to pinpoint and concisely communicate critical findings and potential actions

- Excellent presentation skills to various levels of management

- Ability to collaborate, communicate and influence across cross functional lines throughout the organizational structure

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
