Description:
This position is with the COMPUTER SYSTEMS SEGMENT of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. This particular division of Computer Systems, Maintech, provides computer system and LAN/WAN services to mission critical, multi-vendor, multi-site applications in the Financial, Telecommunications and Research and Development markets. The division's broad spectrum of IT design, procurement, project management and maintenance services, includes 24/7 managed network and systems support. We have an opening for a technical professional to function as a Customer Engineer in Omaha, NE. We are looking for a self-motivated, dedicated individual who is ready to put their technical skills to work in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. Utilizing your technical knowledge, you will have the responsibility of responding to customer calls in a timely and efficient manner to troubleshoot, analyze and diagnose one or all of the following platforms: SUN Microsystems or Dell Intel Servers. You will provide problem resolution or refer more complex issues to Sr. Customer Engineer. Maintenance of inventory and documentation of activity will demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate that we are searching for will possess a High School Diploma or GED and have a minimum of three-five years in servicing one or all of the following platforms: SUN Microsystems or Dell Intel Servers. Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands, strong skills in problem solving and ability to work with attention to detail highly desirable. Candidate must be able to work a rotating on call 24x7 schedule as needed. We are interested in candidates who want to be part of a growing team.
