Description



Johnson & Johnson Sales and Logistics Company, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Customer Business Analyst on the Wal*Mart team to support the Beauty businesslocated in Rogers, AR.



The Customer Business Analyst- Wal*Mart- Beautyis responsible for supporting the sales organization's achievement of forecast and OGSM by providing analytical support to a customer(s). The CBA reviews and translates customer, consumer, category and product level data into actionable tactics, making recommendations on product assortment, product placement, and promotions accordingly in order to enhance sales at the customer level.



Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting market research to understand shopping behavior to help defend or increase product share of shelf; Analyzing sales trends to optimize product assortment to influence buyers to add or delete certain products within the product group; Building sales presentations using key analytical findings as requested and approved by the manager; Providing analytics on a variety of initiatives, including findings and recommendations on the 4Ps; Tracking and analyzing sales metrics for external purposes; Organizing, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from specific syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielson, and POS to independently support sales initiatives; Supporting the customer team with the day to day account management functions as required; Providing point-of-sale data to Customer team to assist sales managers in assessing the state of business and to find opportunities for growth at the assigned customer; Tracking new item set-up and performance to ensure accurate data around launch and to assess whether or not Customer team goals have been met, includes creation and distribution of new items and reporting whether or not customer goals have been met; Tracking sales by product groups to identify product group success and/or underperformance; Conducting warehouse inventory analysis reporting to provide regular updates that allows logistics to address SKU performance and in-stock drivers; Providing analytics to facilitate the development of packaging designs for new product launches, including creative and structural knowledge; Providing analytics to support the development of "unique" promotional packs that will drive incremental sales; Utilize syndicated data resources to collect point-of-sale data and insights in order to identify trends and business building opportunities for Sales, Marketing, and Marketing Operations.



A minimum of a 4-yr degree is required. A minimum of 3 years prior analytics experience in customer sales or consumer products environment is required. Experience working with Beauty is preferred. Wal*Mart experience is highly preferred.



Must have the ability to utilize syndicated data systems and access, assess, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from syndicated data sources to make the case for a plan of action or a decision. Ability to utilize internal data systems and access, assess, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from internal data sources to make the case for a plan of action or a decision. Ability to utilize the analysis of a variety of sources of data to develop solid, actionable recommendations that address specific goals/objectives and "tell the business story". Ability to recognize and articulate product, customer, and marketplace trends and patterns based on the analysis of various data sources. Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group values when leading others.Possesses ability to positively influence buyers, decision makers, and internal business partners up one or more management levels to achieve OGSM, customer business volume plan, and positively impact decision making. Demonstrates ability to create fact-based presentations to translate sales data to achieve objectives in line with customer strategy. Ability to develop plans around distribution, merchandising, pricing, and planogram placement.Ability to retrieve, prepare, and deliver persuasive information in fact-based presentations to gain support for business objectives with customers and internal business partners. Demonstrates competency with internal and syndicated systems, data and content organization and demonstrates ability to support needs of Sales management and make recommendations based on assessment of data, customer, and market knowledge. Serves as active and high performing member of a team and works on internal project teams as needed to foster a culture of growth and collaboration with all parties. Represents the face of the company to the trade and the voice of the customer to the company. Demonstrates the ability to penetrate the appropriate customer, customer team, and internal functions to achieve maximum results on sales objectives. Acts with urgency to make the most of opportunities, address customer needs, and accomplish goals and objectives on the day to day business needs for Sales including the support of new item launches with excellence on speed to market with maximum shelf presence for the opportunity. Ability to complete projects and organize work independently to produce stated outcomes. Ability to plan appropriate tactics according to established business strategies to support customer and brand objectives. Ability to manage funds and resources for the best return on investment for the company and analyze data and institute good solutions and actions to solve problems proactively on a customer or team. Ability to identify risks and opportunities to Management and prioritize competing demands for resources of time and money. Ability to accurately forecast volume and/or track and complete specific project to meaningful deadlines.
