We are currently looking for a qualified Customer Alliance Program Manager to join our Customer Alliance team at our worldwide headquarters in Islandia, NY.
This position is responsible for CA's relationships with reference customers in a particular geographic region, including recruiting new reference customers, maintaining a profound understanding of the reference customers' businesses, managing CA's relationship with and involvement of reference customers in CA business on a regional level and staying up-to-date on CA's strategies from a corporate and local perspective to ensure the most appropriate and valuable use of our reference customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, develop and foster relationships with reference customers within assigned territory
* Support the virtual account teams by fulfilling reference requests as needed
* Act as central point of contact to reference customers in relation to reference activities and reference processes
* Understand each reference customer's business and competitive strategy
* Partner with the sales, channel sales and services teams to identify current business objectives and CA technology requirements of potential customers requesting references
* Assist in developing and update reference customer profiles and maintain customer reference database, ensuring accuracy
* Identify opportunities for other CA departments to best utilize references in order to shorten the sales cycle, close business and promote CA's solutions and services
* Ensure open communication regarding potential new reference sites and promote the recruitment of new reference customers
* Support the Islandia-based Program Managers by providing reference customers to participate in product launches, press events, marketing initiatives and industry analyst and investor relations activities
* Promote successful reference customer activities to all appropriate departments
* Promote CA events, available customer tools and resources and opportunities to participate in reference activities to reference customers, providing detailed feedback on all reference activity
* Maintain a good understanding of CA's strategic direction
* Cultivate and grow the base of local reference customers
* Follow up on leads submitted from other CA departments to recruit new customers into CA's Reference Program
* Support the worldwide Customer Alliance Program team
* Work on special projects as assigned
Key Requirements:
* Typically requires 8 to 10 years of experience in a customer relations, support, marketing or sales role
* Excellent customer interaction and follow-up skills
* Ability to identify customer needs, problems and navigate effectively within the organization to obtain resources needed to perform duties
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Superior fact-finding and decision-making skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills; multi-tasking ability
* Strong presentation skills and teaming skills
* Ability to develop strong business relationships
* General knowledge of the software industry
* Proficient in word processing, relational databases, and spreadsheet software packages
* Business travel of approximately 50 percent yearly is expected for this position
* Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in business or IT-related field
