Culinary Arts—(Part-time and Full-time)
The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California-San Diego has significant opportunities for part-time and full-time faculty who have a genuine concern for the growth and success of students. The International Culinary School is one of the nation's leaders in postsecondary career-oriented education for the culinary arts. Our schools offer Bachelor and Associate degree programs in the culinary savory arts, advanced baking and pastry arts and culinary management fields. Professional faculty, industry-focused curriculum and industry related facilities and equipment keep our schools and our graduates at the forefront of demand within the Hospitality/ Foodservice Industry.
We are seeking positive minded industry oriented professionals to teach day and/or evening classes. The courses are as follows:
** Culinary Skills- comprised of seven levels of basic and advanced academics
** Baking and Pastry – both foundational and advanced technique.
** Management Skills – all subjects relative to successful business application
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree Required (Culinary/Hospitality/ and/or Business Administration fields, preferred)
· Professional Accreditation, Preferred (ACF, IACP, CHE, etc…)
· Must have held progressively responsible positions with experience within culinary production and/or hospitality environments for a minimum of five years.
· Must have utilized management level applications
· Staff training experience and financial accountability a must
· Previous teaching experience a plus, but not necessary
Candidates should possess previous work experience in the Hospitality / Food Service Industry with relative experience in areas of Culinary Art, Dining Room Operations, and Management. Previous training and/or teaching experience is a plus. Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree is a plus.
