DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL STAFFING - SURGICAL SERVICES

McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint, Michigan is searching for a full time Director of Professional Staffing - Surgical Services.

Surgical Services Profile:
* Elective procedures Monday - Saturday, 1st and 2nd shift
* 24/7 service for urgent/emergent cases
* 12 major suites
* 1 cysto room
* 1 procedure room
* Comprehensive surgical care in all specialties except transplant: General, Bariatric, ENT, Neuro, Ortho, Vascular, Urology, Plastic/Reconstructive, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, and Cardiac
* Up to date technology to assist and enhance the team's expertis. We are the only facility in the area to offer robotic surgery, cochlear implants, and spinal disc replacement therapies.
* All suites equipped for minimally invasive procedures
* All suites with in-room camera capability for monitoring case progression

Position Summary:
Under general direction of the VP Business Development & Clinical Services and Department Chair, has responsibility and accountability for Anesthesia Services, and Physician Extender Services. Responsible for employee assignments, efficiencies, documentation, charge capture, work flow processes, following hospital policies and procedures, standards of care, standards of practice, program development, and ethics of the profession. Would be responsible for providing leadership for the anesthesia techs, PAs, CRNAs and CRNFAs. Formulates and implements policies, procedures, guidelines and standards in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Required Education/Experience:
1. Bachelors degree in Nursing-related program.
2. Graduate of Accredited Nurse Anesthesiology program.
3. Must be licensed as a CRNA.
4. Three years previous management experience.
5. Demonstrate experience in team-building skills, self-directed work teams.
6. Demonstrated ability in strategic and business planning and program development

Preferred Education/Experience:
1. Masters Degree in related program or Health Care Administration.
