A Credit Manager manages all aspects of the credit relationship – in concert with the Client Team – for the largest and most complex relationships. Works directly with Relationship Manager and client/prospect to gather credit and financial information (property, borrower, guarantor, general contractor, tenant) needed to analyze and assign credit risk and make recommendation to Credit Administration for multifamily, office, retail, mixed-use and new construction properties. Partners with Credit Analysts to provide customer service to prospective and existing borrowers keeping the customer informed of loan status throughout the process and contacts the customer if questions for resolution and additional information is needed.

Degree in Finance, General Business or Accounting is required, but work experience may be substituted for degree 5+ years of job related experience within a commercial real estate lending environment is preferred 5+ years credit evaluation as it relates to commercial real estate construction lending is preferred Understanding of collateral requirements with general exposure to documentation Knowledge of credit investigations MS Word and Excel required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding customer service skillsWashington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
